Foreign Minister of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj has started a two day visit today (07.03) in the Federal Republic of Germany, upon the invitation of the German Foreign Minister, Frank Walter Steinmeier.
The two ministers have talked about the processes taking place in Kosovo, the strengthening of the international subjectivity of Kosovo, the advancement of the European integrating agenda and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
Minister Steinmeier has recalled the joint path toward the declaration of Kosovo’s independence, when he was foreign minister and Mr. Hoxhaj was part of the delegation of Kosovo in Vienna.
“I’m very happy that today I received minister Hoxhaj and now we have decided to hold our next meeting in Pristina. We recalled the past, when together we have gone through the journey of the declaration of the independence of Kosovo”, said Mr. Steinmeier.
The head of the German diplomacy said that “the German government is very committed on Kosovo” and added that: “Today I assured minister Enver Hoxhaj that our commitment toward Kosovo will not end and that we will support Kosovo’s path toward European Integration”.
Foreign Minister of Kosovo demanded the continuation of the German support, especially in the finalization of the endorsement of Stabilization and Association Agreement with the European Union and the process of the liberalization of visas.
“Berlin remains the most powerful address on Kosovo’s European journey”, said Hoxhaj. He said that he received Berlin’s support in the process of recognition and accession in the international system. /ibna/
