FYR Macedonia ranks 31st among 146 countries of the world in the latest report of the American economic magazine “Forbes” for the best countries to do business in. Compared to last year, FYROM has improved by five places.
According to Forbes, FYROM is the best country in the region and has been ranked before Bulgaria, which ranks 42nd, Croatia which is ranked 46th, Montenegro 48th, Turkey 50th, Greece 51st, Albania 58th and Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia 84th.
FYROM has been ranked third in terms of bureaucratic procedures, sixth in terms of monetary freedom, seventh in terms of tax burden, 17th in terms of the market performance, 21st in terms of the protection of investors, 41st in terms of the free market and 61st in terms of technology.
According to Forbes, in the ten top list are Denmark, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Ireland, Sweden, Canada, Norway, Singapore, Switzerland and Finland. According to Forbes, the worst countries to do business are Libya, Chad and Guinea. /ibna/
