Budget carrier flydubai is to temporarily take over the Emirates’ Zagreb service and will operate flights between Dubai and Zagreb in Croatia.
At the beginning of this week, Emirates said in a statement that its partner airline will operate flights between the two cities from December 2 to March 30, 2019, with its Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, but from April 2019 on, Emirates will resume operations. “The carrier said the move will ensure maximising frequencies in the winter”, gulfnews.com reported.
“The move will ensure that capacity is deployed to best serve customer demand by maximising the frequency for passengers during the winter season.”
The move is the latest in a series of partnerships between Emirates and flydubai after the two announced a partnership deal last year. The two airlines currently code-share to over 90 destinations, Croatia Weekly said, adding that thanks to this partnership between the Dubai-based low-cost airline and Emirates (also headquartered in the United Arab Emirates -UAE city), Emirates passengers will receive complimentary meals, which are normally paid-for on flydubai, and get the Emirates baggage allowance…. / IBNA
