Police of Kosovo have arrested five people in an operation held in the region of Gjilan, on suspicion of involvement in criminal activities which threaten law and order in Kosovo.
The five arrested people are members of the Serb community. Police did not offer many details about this operation, but it dismissed the claims made by Serbian media that the operation was conducted against former members of Kosovo Security Forces, who have resigned in the recent days.
Last week, a group of members of the Serb community which were part of the Kosovo Security Force, have demanded officials to relieve them from duty due to the pressure coming from Belgrade. Representatives of FSK say that the resignations of the members of this force from the ranks of the Serb community, are an attempt to damage the image of this force. /ibna/
