Referring to the findings of the Progress Report, Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI) has criticized public institutions about the fact that they are still in the initial stages of their efforts for social and economic development.
During a news conference, KDI addressed today the three main problems identified by the Progress Report, which includes fight against corruption, functioning of parliament and issues that relate to elections in Kosovo.
Driton Selmanaj, representative of the anti-corruption program at KDI said that the European Commission said in its progress report that Kosovo is still in the initial stage of the fight against corruption due to the failure of the justice system.
Selmanaj said that in order for the fight against corruption to be more effective, KDI offers several recommendations, in order for the Judiciary Council and Prosecution Council to boost their financial and human capacities in the fight against corruption. /ibna/
