Romania and Turkmenistan are considering creating joint companies that would produce and maintain the necessary equipment in Turkmenistan’s energy sector. Another potential project would be creating mixed companies that are specialized in energy-related services.
These possibilities have been discussed during a meeting in Ashgabad between representatives from Romanian Ministry of Energy and Turkmenistan’s state company Turkmennebit, According to a press release circulated by the Ministry of Energy, Electrica SA, SMART, Romgaz, Conpet, Ekkou and Electrica Serv, were the Romanian companies that also sent representatives at the meeting.
The Turkmen side informed their counterparts that they could insure the Romanian companies in the energy sector the attendance to tenders organized in Turkmenistan. These tenders would concern offers in construction, purchasing and installing equipments that are specific to the petrol, gas and energy sector.
