Kosovo has delivered the criteria for the liberalization of the visa regime. This was declared by the special rapporteur of the European Parliament for the liberalization of the visa regime for Kosovo, Tanya Fayon.
Fayon made these declarations during a meeting she held in Brussels with the Kosovo’s deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Enver Hoxhaj.
“We had a meeting with deputy minister Enver Hoxhaj during which we discussed the situation in Kosovo. We agreed that the country has delivered all the conditions needed for the liberalization of the visa regime”, Fayon said.
Meanwhile, the other deputy Foreign minister of Kosovo, Anton Berisha says that Fayon is quite right in the statement that she makes.
According to him, the date for the decision to liberalize the visa regime remains in the hands of the EU.
The ratification of the border deal with Montenegro and the fight against corruption were the main two criteria that the European Commission had imposed on Kosovo. /ibna/
