Two MPs of the extreme right wing party Golden Dawn were expelled today from a parliamentary committee where the refugee crisis was discussed and the Defence Minister Mr Panos Kammenos was briefing the MPs on the handling of the situation. The two MPs (Kassidiaris and Pappas) called the Minister “a traitor” and they were filming the discussions on their mobile phones though this was forbidden –it was also a discussion concerning national security affairs and issues of foreign policy, NATO and Turkey.
The MPs did not only offended the Minister but also the military authorities and used insulting words for the refugees insisting on calling them illegal migrants and saying “the Minister wants to make women slaves out of our army, to turn the Greek officers into servants of the illegal migrants, he is a traitor and he must leave the country”. They were expelled according to the rules of the Greek Parliament.
