European Commission has decided to wait until after the second round of the presidential elections to offer its evaluation on this process.
Peter Stano, spokesman of the Euro commissioner for enlargement, Stefan Feule, said on Monday that yesterday’s elections will be under strict scrutiny.
“In general, elections are part of a democratic process and we always scrutinize them in order to evaluate them. As we know, there will be a second round and once this round is completed, we will offer our evaluation”, said Stano.
According to him, Brussels will also take into account the report of OSCE/ODIHR in relation to the first round of presidential elections. /ibna/
