Eurostat: 46% of Greeks income spent on taxes

 

According to Eurostat, 46% of the income of Greek citizens in 2013 will be spent on taxes.

It is one of the highest in the relevant European Union list, with Sweden at the top, since the Swedes will pay 56.6% of their income in taxes.

With 46% Greece ranks eleventh after Belgium (53.7%), Denmark (55.6%), Germany (47.5%), Spain (52%), the Netherlands (52%), Austria (50%), Portugal (53%), Slovenia (50%) and Finland (51.1%).
