EU head of diplomacy, Federica Mogherini and EU enlargement commissioner, Johannes Hahn, have hailed on Tuesday the formation of the new government of Kosovo.
The two senior EU officials have expressed their readiness to work with the new government led by Isa Mustafa.
A press statement issued by the two officials says that institutional deadlock has been now overcome.
“I look forward to collaborating with the new government in Kosovo’s path toward the EU and in the high level talks for the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia”, said Mogherini.
Mogherini said that the work for the normalization of relations between the two countries, must start as soon as possible.
“I’m ready to have a professional engagement in order to achieve constant progress in the normalization of relations”.
Meanwhile, Hahn said that it’s important for the new government of Kosovo to start and address a number of challenges that it faces.
“Besides the talks, the government must also continue with its program for European reforms”, Hahn said. /ibna/
