Eurogroup Urges Slovenia to Take Prompt and Determined Action

 

Eurogroup president Jeroen Dijsselbloem said after a meeting of Eurozone finance ministers on Monday that Slovenia needed to take prompt and determined action to resolve excessive macroeconomic imbalances and first of all restore trust in the banking sector and its resilience. Commissioner Olli Rehn spoke of encouraging solutions.

Finance Minister Uroš Čufer presented the priorities of the new government, while the ministers also discussed the findings of the European Commission regarding the excessive macroeconomic imbalances in Slovenia, Dijsselbloem told the press.

According to him, there was agreement that the government needed to take prompt and determined action and first of all restore trust in the banking sector and its resilience.
