Special Prosecution of Kosovo has pressed a new charge against the former Minister of Transport and Telecommunication of Kosovo, Fatmir Limaj and several of his collaborators.

Today, an international prosecutor from the Special Prosecution of Kosovo has pressed charges against the former Minister of Transport and Telecommunication, Fatmir Lima and four other persons who are also accused of different criminal offenses-organized crime, appropriation of funds, endorsement of damaging contracts, abuse in the line of duty, bribery and other offenses related to corruption.
The prosecutor claims that three defendants have manipulated with tender procedures and have given and accepted bribery.
These defendants are alleged to have committed these offenses for personal gain. Two defendants are accused of abusing with funds and bribery. According to prosecution, these offenses were perpetrated in 2008, when one of the defendants worked as Minister of Transport.
The prosecutor claims that the budget of the Ministry of Transport has sustained damages amounting of at least 890.00 Euros.
This joint investigation has been conducted by the Department Against Corruption of the Police of Kosovo and EULEX Unit for the Investigation of Organized Crime led by an international prosecutor. /ibna/
