EU and US representatives in Pristina have hailed the ratification of the demarcation agreement with Montenegro.
“The ratification of the demarcation agreement with Montenegro by the Parliament of Kosovo represents an important achievement for Kosovo and its people”, states a joint release of the EU ambassador to Kosovo, Nataliya Apostolova and the representatives of the other EU embassies in the country.
Now that the agreement has been ratified, the press release states, the focus should be on fighting organized crime and corruption.
The US ambassador to Pristina, Greg Delawie said that now that demarcation went through, Kosovo needs to focus on issues of Euro-Atlantic integration.
“Now, Parliament and government of Kosovo need to focus on other priorities, such as the rule of law, economic development and European Atlantic aspirations. The US embassy will continue to offer strong support for the citizens of Kosovo in order for them to be fully integrated in the European family”, Delawie said. /balkaneu.com/
