Peter Vanhoutte, the special envoy of the EU Enlargement Commissioner, Johannes Hahn, declared today that the talks for the solution of the crisis in FYROM are not being held with the necessary speed, but he expressed his optimism for the finalization of the agreement.
“Of course there’s advancement. For the moment, we’re talking about the electoral law and the electoral process. We will also discuss about this tomorrow and at the end of the week, there will be talks about the public special prosecutor”, declared the EU expert, Vanhoutte.
“The talks are slow, but I’m optimistic that they will be successful”, Vanhoutte said.
In the process of talks, the four main political parties are discussing amendments of the electoral code, the election of the Special Prosecutor and other points that relate to the preparation for the April 24, 2016 elections.
The agreement for the solution of the political crisis in FYROM was reached two months ago, but the process has slowed down due to the summer holidays. /ibna/
