Member of the European Parliament, Knut Fleckenstein is holding an official visit to Tirana during which he has met with Albanian political leaders.
So, Fleckenstein has initially held a meeting with the President of Republic, Ilir Meta and discussed with him the necessity of the continuation of reforms.
On his part, the head of the Albanian state stressed the need for the advancement of the reforms and consensus between majority and opposition with the aim of pushing Albania forward in the path of European integration.
Fleckenstein also stopped on the importance of the implementation of the Judicial Reform and the Vetting process with the aim of creating the new institutions of justice as soon as possible.
Then, the MEP has also met with the new Assembly Speaker, Gramoz Ruci and the head of the socialist parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, while his agenda also includes meetings with the leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, leader of SMI, Monika Kryemadhi and the country’s PM, Edi Rama. /balkaneu.com/
