Today, EU officials and representatives from Kosovo will hold the third meeting of the Council for Stabilization and Association in Brussels. EU representatives led by the EU chief of diplomacy, Federica Mogherini and EU Enlargement Commissioner, Johannes Hahn will hold talks with Kosovo’s delegation led by PM Ramush Haradinaj.
The meeting will discuss the introduction of the 100% tax hike on goods coming from Serbia and the relations between Kosovo and EU.
Meanwhile, the EU chief if diplomacy, Federica Mogherini and the EU Enlargement Commissioner, Johannes Hahn have sent a letter to PM Haradinaj explaining the EU’s position with regards to the tax introduced on Serb goods, calling on authorities to scrap it. In exchange, the EU’s head of diplomacy, Mogherini has proposed that Kosovo uses its denomination instead of UNMIK during CEFTA’s forums.
Prime Minister’s advisor, Halil Matoshi said that Kosovo will not scrap the tax if there’s no mutual recognition between Pristina and Belgrade. /ibna/
