EU member countries don’t make FYROM part of their agenda

Skopje, June 26, 2013

EU commissioner for enlargement, Stefan Fule declared that EU member countries have decided not to issue a date for the start of negotiations with FYR Macedonia in the Summit of the European Council which will start tomorrow.

“Member countries decided for FYROM not to be part of the agenda. Nonetheless, I informed the ministers about the letter that I have received from the president of this country, who says that the committee has started its work to investigate the events of December 24 last year in parliament. Nonetheless, there hasn’t been any discussion between foreign ministers on this topic”, said Fule.

Fule demanded for attention to be paid to this country and for the agenda of European Union not to be neglected.

Foreign ministers of EU member countries held yesterday the preparatory meeting for the Summit in Luxembourg, but they haven’t included FYR Macedonia on the agenda and they haven’t either underlined any conclusion on this country. /ibna/
