The European Union appears to be Kosovo’s main economic partner with over 40% of imports and exports and over 50% of investments.
This was declared by the prime minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa in the opening of dialogue between European investors and Kosovo’s government.
“This partnership refers to a favorable economic crisis that Kosovo offers, refers to the benefits of investors and economy of Kosovo. The financial sector is the main beneficiary, working and showing positive effects for our economy”, Mustafa said.
Mustafa also said that the know-how and technology that European investors bring, is a long term contribution for the economy of Kosovo in order for these experiences to be implemented in Kosovo.
“We are expecting European investors to be the main promoters for new investments, which our economy needs so much, thanks to the economic potential that Kosovo has. We have a very suitable labor market, a young population with an average age of 26, with lower average salaries than the countries of the region and with an education system which is improving”, Mustafa said.
Present in this meeting were the EU ambassador to Kosovo, Samuel Zbogar, the head of the Council of European Investors, Emmanuel Mitsou and representatives of institutions, businesses and experts of economy. /balkaneu.com/
