Minister for European Integration, Bekim Collaku has signed today the annual financial agreement between Republic of Kosovo and the European Union in the framework of the Instrument of Pre Accession.
For the European Union, this agreement was signed by the Director for Western Balkan, Jean Eric Paquet. The total value of the program is 66,5 million Euros.
Minister Collaku said that this amount will help the country in undertaking reforms in the domain of justice, competition, agriculture, rural development and strengthening of democracy.
“With the IPA funds, Kosovo will be closer to the EU. There will be a lot of efforts for the improvement of public administration in Kosovo, with the scope of enabling the application and implementation of EU acquis, especially in domains covered by SAA”, Collaku declared.
According to him, the program will also support civil society and the growth of efficiency in its participation in policy making.
“As far as justice is concerned, we will focus on professionalism, accountability and efficiency in the judicial system”, the minister said. /ibna/
