The European Union has reacted against the resolution approved on Thursday by the Parliament of Kosovo, which demands the suspension of dialogue with Serbia, until the release of Ramush Haradinaj, who is being kept in France.
The EU says that the calls for the suspension of talks between Pristina and Belgrade “does not contribute to the normalization of relations and is not in line with Kosovo’s commitments”.
The EU also says that Kosovo has always been committed in the dialogue for the normalization of relations with Serbia “for the sake of its citizens, but also because progress in dialogue means progress in its EU path”.
“We call on political leaders in Kosovo to continue and engage in dialogue in a constructive manner, to implement the agreements that have been reached up until now in Brussels and advance in the normalization of relations and in its European perspective”, the EU says. /balkaneu.com/
