The contracting authority, the European Commission has invited all institutions, departments and public and state authorities in Albania to apply for these grants.

They must apply until 11 September to benefit this fund.

Out of 3.5 million euros, around 2 million will be spent for technical assistance for the ministry of Agriculture and other public agencies and the rest for the application of the grant schemes for the development of fishing.

Through these grants, fishermen will be able to improve several aspects of their activity, such as navigation system, equipment used to preserve their sea products or fishing equipment.

Each project will be funded at 50%, but in no case, more than 60 thousand euros, aiming to attract as many fishing entrepreneurs./
