The European Union sees the visit scheduled by the Albanian PM to Serbia as very important and calls for this visit to be held on the scheduled date, October 22, without being affected by the incident during the match between Serbia and Albania in Belgrade.
Maja Kocijancic, spokeswoman of Baroness Catherine Ashton, said today that “The European Union is expecting the Albanian PM, Edi Rama to hold his visit to Belgrade”, stressing that “our message is that of cooperation”.
Mrs. Kocijancic said that stadiums must not be part of political provocations. In this aspect, Brussel’s message is very clear and Kocinancic adds: “We need regional cooperation and welcome the visit of the Albanian PM Edi Rama to Belgrade”.
Mrs. Kocijancic said in front of the media from the EU headquarters in Brussels that “we’re disappointed by what happened” and stressed that “politics cannot be conveyed through stadium provocations”. /ibna/
