The cabinet of EU chief for foreign affairs, Catherine Ashton has rejected rumors for intervention of Brussels in the appointment of the prime minister nominee in Kosovo.
Maja Kocijancic, spokeswoman of baroness Catherine Ashton has denied all rumors circulating on the Kosovar media for the existence of an anonymous envelope-a synonym for the proposal of the international community for the appointment of the next prime minister of Kosovo.
“These are sheer speculations”, declared Kocijancic. She has repeated the official positioning of Ashton’s cabinet that the creation of the government is a domestic issue of Kosovo.
“We believe that Kosovar leaders will be able to create the government through a democratic process, based on the election result”, declared Kocijancic.
Baroness Ashton’s cabinet insists that the new government of Kosovo must be committed in the process of the normalization of relations with Serbia through political dialogue.
Meanwhile, Constitutional Court of Kosovo says that it has taken a decision on the request of president Atifete Jahjaga to assess the consistency of the two articles of the Constitution which relate to the nomination of the prime minister and that it will announce this decision on a later date. /ibna/
