The European Union has called on Pristina and Belgrade to refrain from any action following operations organized by police of Kosovo in the north of the country.
EU spokesperson, Maja Kocijancic said that “rule of law, including presumption of innocence is an objective that the EU strongly supports”.
“Police operations must encourage all communities to have faith on the rule of law. Such operations must strengthen and not weaken the efforts being made for normalization”, she said.
The EU says in its press release that it strongly believes “on the fact that more police and judicial cooperation is necessary for all players in order to fully comply with the Brussels’ agreement”. /ibna/
