EU ambassador to Skopje, Aivo Orav declared that within Friday, the European Union will come up with a joint stance as to whether there are suitable conditions to hold early elections on April 24.
“On 19 February we will come up with our evaluation if Macedonia is ready to hold elections on 24 April. According to the Przino Agreement, 24 April was decided as the date for the early elections, but there were delays in the implementation of the agreement. We believe that three key issues must be addressed: the adjustment of the electoral list, media and the division of power from the party”, the EU diplomat said.
Orav has not confirmed the visit of the EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn on 20 February in Skopje.
As far as the progress of the political events in the country are concerned, the EU ambassador said that everything will depend on political parties. /ibna/
