Head of the EU Office to Kosovo, Samuel Zbogar has blamed the government for the fact that the country has not made progress in the European Union integration.
According to him, the political class in Kosovo is not doing its job for the EU integration.
“The member countries are finalizing the endorsement of SAA with Kosovo. Of course, the government of Kosovo will remain the EU’s main counterpart for the reforms which are necessary to move forward”, Zbogar said.
Zbogar made these comments during the presentation of a study by the Kosovo Civil Society Fund, which reveals some of the reasons why Kosovo is not part of the EU.
Venera Hajrullahu, executive head of KCSF, said that although Kosovo has had experienced politicians, it continues remain a country which has not been recognized by five EU countries and at the same time, an isolated country.
Meanwhile, the chairwoman of the Parliamentary Committee for European Integration, Teuta Sahatqiu said that one of the main reasons why Kosovo is not part of the EU relates to the lack of coordination between work groups and delegations that represent Kosovo in the EU meetings.
Meanwhile, deputy minister of European Integration, Ramadan Ilazi, said that the short priorities of this ministry are the endorsement of SAA and the visa liberalization. /ibna/
