The head of EU delegation to Kosovo, Natalya Apostolova has urged institutions of Kosovo to demonstrate a strong political will in implementing economic reforms as an opportunity to bring the country closer to the EU.
These comments were made during the launch of the program for economic reforms 2020-2022 by the ministry of Finance of Kosovo, reforms which aim at bringing Kosovo closer to the EU.
Apostolova said that the implementation of the program for economic reforms will improve the market for businesses in Kosovo. According to her, businesses are facing unfair competition in the country.
“Informal economy represents one third of GDP and this leads to unfair competition. The strategy in question aims at tackling informal economy and gives way to competitiveness in the market”, she said, underlining that the implementation of reform gives way to economic development in Kosovo. /ibna/
