“Yesterday, Albania has received three very important things. First, its reforms were recognized and this is very important. Secondly, it was given a clear agenda. We now have a clear date for the inter-governmental conference and we don’t need to discuss dates. Thirdly, the Council takes noted of the intention of the Commission to begin the necessary preparatory work.”
This was declared today by the EU ambassador to Tirana, Romana Vlahutin regarding the decision of the European Union to start accession talks with Albania in the month of June 2019 if everything goes according to plan.
Meanwhile, ambassador Vlahutin also declared that “our delegation is very happy for Albania, because we are able to move on at a faster pace and start preparations.” /ibna/
