Tirana, June 13, 2013
The EU ambassador in Tirana, Ettore Sequi has held a meeting this afternoon with the leader of the Socialist Party, Edi Rama.
After the meeting, the EU diplomat said that this was a meeting in the framework of the meetings with authorities in the country, discussing topics which relate to the electoral process.
“We talked about the issue of the Central Election Commission. Our positioning is known. CEC needs more than 4 members to take decisions. I have closely followed the declarations of ambassador Arvizu and of the head of the OSCE/ODIHR mission. The EU and USA often share the same opinions”, declared the ambassador at the end of the meeting. /ibna/
