The cost of damage caused to Turkey has multiplied’
Speaking to the Justice and Development Party officials, Recep Tayyip Erdogan responded indirectly to Mike Pompeo as well as to the countries in the region of the Eastern Mediterranean, saying that the cost of damage caused to Turkey has multiplied.
“Turkey is going through a period that will shape its future over the next 25 and 50 years. The covert and overt attacks against our people did not manage to break its bones, yet they have become tiring. We became stronger through every problem we have faced. But now the cost of damage Turkey has endured has multiplied”, Erdogan stated.
The Turkish president avoided accusing Donald Trump but not his associates, as US forces remain in northern Syria. Erdogan insisted on preparing for an invasion to Syria.
“Trump himself had proposed to withdraw from the area east of Euphrates, however those close to him do not listen to him. Yet the area we regard as our safety zone, the operations and preparations we carry out are important to show our stances regarding that area. What we need to do is to prepare and complete the mission”, the Turkish President added. /ibna
