The election period in Albania was accompanied this year with a rise in the number of people who were employed. This is indicated by the recent official data, according to which, in the second quarter of the year, which coincided with the electoral period, employment marked an increase.
“In the third quarter of 2017, the rate of employment for the population aged 15-64 was 57.3%, where, compared to the same quarter a year ago, employment increased by 3.4%. Meanwhile, compared to the first quarter of the year, employment registered an increase of 1.8%”, experts say.
Meanwhile, they also confirm a drop in the rate of unemployment. “In the second quarter of 2017, the official rate of unemployment in Albania was 13.9%.
