Two Albanian emigrants have lost their lives refusing to return to Albania. The two Albanians threw themselves in the waters of the North Sea in order to avoid their return to Albania by British authorities.
The victims are Leonard Isufaj, 27 years of age, who lost his life by drowning at sea and the 24 years old, Artur Doda who also died at sea after being hit by the ferry’s propeller.
Both young Albanian men jumped off “Stenna Britanica” ferry (photo), but due to the strong water currents and the distance from the British coast, it was impossible to rescue them.
The operation for the rescuing of the bodies continued for several hours, until the bodies were taken out lifeless.
The two Albanian emigrants had entered Great Britain a year ago through a lorry, along with 11 other refugees, without the knowledge of the driver. /ibna/
