Renowned Albanian actress, Liza Laska died at the age of 88, leaving behind a rich career in films and theater.
Homage was paid today at the “Petro Marko” theatre in Vlora, where artists and art lovers along with family members gave the last farewell to the actress that became an emblem of the Albanian cinematography.
Liza Laska was born in Vlora on February 6, 1926. She has played over 26 roles in known Albanian films and over 100 roles in theatre. The roles of Liza Laska will always be remembered in films that were so dear to the public.
She will be remembered for the role of the old woman at the “Return of the Dead Army” or “The Last Winter”.
Prime minister Edi Rama too reacted on the death of actress Liza Laska.
“Liza Laska died. She was another star of film and theatre which saddened the Albanian art and culture. May she always be remembered”, said Rama.
The artist died yesterday at the age of 88, leaving behind a rich career in cinema and theatre. /ibna/
