Prime Minister Thaci’s adviser, Adri Nurellari says that if none of the sides changes its stance in relation to the political crisis, then elections are unavoidable.

Nurellari said that December 14 is the most suitable date for the elections.

“In the current circumstances, when none of the sides is changing its stance, early elections seem unavoidable and December 14 seems to be the most suitable date. In order to enable the formation of parliament and government in time to approve the state budget and avoid a blockade of state expenses in spring, then elections should take place in December. Legal and constitutional deadlines for the holding of elections are 30 to 45 days, while another month is needed for the process of complaints and certification of results”, declared Nurellari.

According to him, in order to have free and honest elections, there must be western monitors.

“In order to have free and fair elections, there must be foreign western elections, which is impossible to call them in the third week of December, when winter holidays start. Given that at least 30 days are needed to organize the elections, the most suitable date is December 14 and for this, the president must announce the elections within next week”, says Nurellari. /ibna/
