Leader of the Albanian party in power, BDI (Democratic Union for Integration), Ali Ahmeti said that the country has no time to waste and that the elections must be held on April 24.
Ahmeti delivered this message during the weekend’s meetings with the party’s forums.
“The country is ahead of important events. In June we have the EU Summit, while in July there’s the NATO summit. There are warnings that there will be a large wave of refugees from the Middle East. We must get ready for April 24. The citizens are those who decide for the best on and it’s them who give the verdict. We don’t want elections which do not have standards. We want them to be acceptable for all sides”, Ahmeti said.
Ahmeti called on political opposition parties to respect the election date and not cause obstructions of the political agreement, which has been guaranteed by the European Union and other international factors. /ibna/
