President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga has demanded from heads of institutions responsible for the rule of law, justice and European integration, to make more efforts in order to prevent illegal migration from the citizens.
In a meeting with the Minister of Interior, Justice, European Integration, General Attorney, head of the Kosovo’s Judicial Committee and head of Kosovo Police, president Jahjaga has demanded more efforts in meeting recommendations for the liberalization of visas.
“The meeting of president Jahjaga with the heads of responsible institutions was held with the aim of coordinating inter-institutional action in meeting the remaining recommendations for the process of the liberalization of visas for the citizens of Kosovo. This meeting also discussed the engagement of the institutions of Kosovo in preventing illegal migration”, says the press statement issued by the president.
This meeting discussed the growth of efficiency of the justice system and rule of law.
“President Jahjaga and heads of responsible institutions talked about the acceleration of the process of approving the legal package for a better institutional coordination in the domain of the rule of law, the efficiency of the judicial system and the participants agreed on the dynamic of the implementation of all remaining recommendations for the process of the liberalization of visas, which is now entering its final stage”, reads the press statement of the president’s office. /ibna/
