Tirana, 13 September 2016/Independent Balkan News Agency
In Albania, economic growth for the first quarter of the year was 2,96%, declared today the Minister of Finance, Arben Ahmetaj.
Ahmetaj said that he was optimistic about the progress of the Albanian economy and said that the economic growth of the first quarter is the biggest in the last five years.
Ahmetaj said that revenues have increased for the first eight months of 2016. According to him, revenues from cigarettes have seen a growth of 19%, 14% from wine, 13% from energy drinks and 3,2% from fuel. The only product which has seen a drop is beer.
The Ministry of Finance says that there’s significant progress in the second quarter of this year as far as indicators of economic sensitivity are concerned. Ahmetaj said that this indicator will continue to be positive in the third quarter too.
The indicator of economic sensitivity is a very important indicator, as it measures what economic operators transmit in the market. /balkaneu.com/
