The President of the European Commission (EC), Jean Claude Juncker has cancelled his meeting with the PM of FYROM, Nikola Gruevski, which was scheduled to take place this Thursday.
The news was announced today by Mina Andreeva, spokeswoman of the European Commission and then, the news was also confirmed by the EU office to Skopje. “For the moment, such meeting was not seen appropriate in the light of the latest political developments in Macedonia”, declared Andreeva.
Gruevski’s visit was announced last week. His cabinet has not issued any reaction on the cancellation of this visit, while Foreign Minister, Nikola Poposki declared that he had no knowledge of such visit and such meeting with Juncker.
Meanwhile, leader of BDI (Democratic Union for Integration), Ali Ahmeti wrote a letter to EU Enlargement Commissioner, Johannes Hahn for his involvement in overcoming the political crisis in FYROM. /ibna/
