European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) continues its financial cooperation with institutions in Kosovo, in order to implement projects that have an impact in Kosovo’s economic development.
This bank continues to fund infrastructural projects in the sector of transport, economic zones and to back the loan guarantee scheme.
This was said in a meeting held between minister of Finance, Abdullah Hoti and the president of EBRD, Suma Chakrabarti.
Minister Hoti said that as a new member of EBRD, Kosovo has received 204 million euros worth of loans for different projects which aim at improving rail transport, road transport and urban traffic.
“We are also identifying other domains, which we will implement in cooperation with EBRD”, minister Hoti said.
Meanwhile, president of EBRD, Suma Chakrabarti praised cooperation between Kosovo and EBRD.
He also expressed the readiness of the institution that he leads to boost cooperation in the domains which offer an integrating perspective of Kosovo in the EU and the domains which have an impact in the wellbeing of the citizens of Kosovo.
He added that he would like to see developed businesses in Kosovo, as according to him, the development of this sector is the only way for the development of a country. /balkaneu.com/
