European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has allocated to FYROM a loan amounting to 86 million Euros for the construction of road segments that link Ohrid to Pestan and Struga to Trebenista.
These funds will also be used for the construction of the highway from Trebenista to Struga, which is 8.5 km long.
Ministry of Finance says that the rest of the loan will be used for the road linking Ohrid to Pestani, 14.5 km long, which will be built parallel to the existing road alongside the Ohrid Lake.
EBRD has also allocated 145 million Euros for the second phase of the construction of the railway to Bulgaria.
Based on the information issued by the Ministry of Finance, the loan has a maturity period of 15 years and an interest rate of 1.15%. /ibna/
