Leader of BDI (Democratic Union for Integration), Ali Ahmeti has said that early elections in FYROM are a necessity and that all sides must participate in it.
“The two dates for the parliamentary elections on which we agreed, April 24 and June 5 were canceled on the last minute and the citizens were right to express their skepticism. The elections must include everyone and the institutions that organize the elections must be supported unconditionally”, declared Ahmeti.
According to him, the opposition, including SDSM, must be responsible and committed for the process of the solution of the crisis and on deciding a new election date.
“Deciding on an election date without enabling the necessary conditions, will cause dilemmas on the holding of elections”, Ahmeti said.
The stance of the head of the largest Albanian party in the country comes at a time when talks have resumed about the solution of the political crisis with the brokerage of the EU ambassador, Aivo Orav. /balkaneu.com/
