Đurić: Serbia does not want “tense” relations with the United States

Serbian Ambassador to Washington Marko Đurić said that Serbia does not want “tense” relations with the United States today, stressING that improving political relations with that country is a priority.

Đurić also assessed that strong relations between Serbia and the United States contribute to its stability.

“Strong relations between Serbia and the United States contribute to the stability of our country. A politically and economically strong Serbian nation also means a stable Western Balkan region. President Aleksandar Vučić and Prime Minister Ana Brnabić have recognized the full importance of good relations with the United States and have taken steps to bring our countries closer together,” Đurić told Kurir.

He also said that, together with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the Serbian trade delegation to the United States would be the place to attract new US investment to Serbia and boost Serbian exports to the United States. He also announced that he would address Serbs in America, who he said represent “the most stable bridge between Serbia and the United States”, and would promote Serbia, its culture, science, history, the mind and the skills of its people. /ibna
