A massacre with two people murdered in a restaurant in the tourist city of Ohrid. The murder happened in the “Imperator” restaurant, reports IBNA’s correspondent, quoting sources on the scene and local police officials.
The murder has taken place in the early hours of the morning, when two unknown people entered the “Imperator” restaurant and have gunned down the two victims.
The victims have been sent to the hospital of Ohrid, but they passed away due to the serious wounds that they had sustained.
The victims are the owner of “Imperator” restaurant, Vasil Risteski and his escort, Romeo Djuzeloski. They were shot by two other people after a verbal row. After the murder, the two perpetrators left the scene.
Police have investigated the scene and have launched a manhunt for the perpetrators.
Vasil Risteski was the head of the Democratic Christian Party in Ohrid and was one of the candidates for mayor of the city in the recent local government elections.
Unofficial sources in Ohrid say that the murder may relate to a debt. This is the second case of a double murder in Ohrid within a short time. Last week, in the village of Vevcan, several kilometers away from the tourist city, two people were gunned down as a result of an existing unpaid debt. /ibna/
