Macedonian opposition leader, Zoran Zaev, declared that this is not the time to be populist, like the Prime Minister and leader of the party in power, VMRO-DPMNE, Nikola Gruevski is doing.
“The people are expecting us to be serious and committed in order to normalize the situation in the country. We don’t intend to copy Gruevski. He’s being a populist in order to destroy society and our country by concealing reality. Don’t expect this from us. We will never act like this government is acting”, Zaev declared.
Zaev’s comments follow the opinion of several analysts who say that Gruevski is holding an active campaign even during the holiday season, while the opposition is keeping quiet.
In the recent weeks, PM Nikola Gruevski has been holding meetings with the citizens and also promoting government projects. /ibna/
