“Dokufest” international film festival ended its 13th edition after a nine day marathon in Prizren.
The film “Flotel Evropa”, by the Danish-Serb director, Vladimir Tomic, was announced the best film of the festival.
This film shows the life of Bosnian refugees in the capital of Denmark. The film was announced the best Balkan film in the Best Balkan Dox category.
In the category of the promising films and directors, the film “Colony” was announced the winner. This was a film by Turkish director Gurcan Keltek, a Turkish-Norwegian cooperation.
The film by Amir Vitia, “The Innocent” triumphed in the category of international awards, while the public’s award was received by the German-Turkish production “Remake/Remix/Rip-off” directed by Cem Kaya.
“Listen” directed by Hamy Ramezan, a Danish-Finnish production was announced the best short movie.
The human rights category was won by the movie ‘Democrats” by Camilla Nielsson from Denmark.
The best green dox category was wan by “Virunga”, a British and Congolese production directed by Orlando von Einsiedel.
The closing ceremony of this year’s “Dokufest” started with an animation of how children perceived emigration, the main theme of the 2015 festival.
President in this ceremony was also the president of Kosovo Atifete Jahjaga. This year’s Dokufest saw the presentation of 238 films and the sale of 14 thousand tickets. /ibna/
