Dodik threatens with certain actions if the Agreement fails

Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik said in an interview that the National Assembly of Republika Srpska will adopt a decision to reject all previous decisions that are not in strict compliance with the state Constitution if authorities at the BiH level will are not formed and if the Agreement on the principles for establishment of the state-level authorities fails.

“This means that Republika Srpska will withdraw from the Agreement on Armed Forces, that it will revoke its approval for the institution of indirect taxes, that it will reject operations of the Court and Prosecutor’s Office, and of the State Investigation and Protection Agency /SIPA/ in its territory, and challenge all competences that were transferred to the BiH level”, Dodik has said.

He recalled that 83 competences were taken away from Republika Srpska and transferred to the BiH level.

“We will challenge everything and order the Government and other expert institutions to send us proposals that will aim to eliminate and ban everything that goes contrary to the BiH Constitution,” Dodik told Tanjug, recalling that the Constitution precisely stipulated that all duties, functions and authorities not given by the Constitution explicitly to BiH belonged to the Entities.

He said the parliament would challenge all the imposed solutions, but not the Dayton Peace Agreement, which Republika Srpska will continue to honour.

The Serb member of the BiH Presidency added he was prepared for a different scenario too – that authorities get formed, in which case he will try some kind of a reform.

“I am willing to adhere to this agreement, to form the Council of Ministers, to work on European integration, to cooperate with NATO on these issues, to maintain peace together, etc. If they seek 50 men for Afghanistan, we can say there are some who want to earn 5,000 dollars a month, let them go… But sorry, they won’t be able to go to school any longer and say that there is no alternative to NATO”, Dodik underlined.

The Serb member of the BiH Presidency reiterated that the Annual National Plan /ANP/, a step towards BiH’s integration into NATO, will not be sent to Brussels because Republika Srpska opposes Bosnia and Herzegovina’s accession to the military alliance and does not want an amount of cooperation that would be greater than what Serbia has now.

“There is no path to NATO. We are linked to Serbia in that respect. If Serbia joins NATO within 100 years, so will we. If Serbia does not join NATO 300 years from now, neither will we, as long as my political option and I are in charge of that. The Partnership for Peace and IPAP are quite enough”, Dodik stressed.

He reiterated that the Principles for the Formation of Authorities did not mention the ANP and that it would not be sent to Brussels.

“BiH is not going to submit the ANP to Brussels, it doesn’t say anywhere that it will, and there is nothing about it in the agreement. People can interpret it any way they want, but Vuk Karadžić said: ‘Read as it is written, understand as it is written’”, he said.

When asked to comment on a statement by the BiH Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić that he would call a session of the Presidency only when the ANP was accepted and then sent to the NATO HQ in Brussels, Dodik said that obstructions were possible and that the agreement was not binding for someone who did not sign it.

When asked to comment on a statement by Daniel Serwer, who said that Dodik was not as much against the path to NATO as much as he wanted to please his Moscow financiers, the Serb member of the Presidency replied that Serwer “is just an ass… receiving money from Muslims”.

Dodik pointed out that he had the same relations with Russia and the United States alike, but that it was the West which interfered in the relations and events in BiH and not Russia./ibna
