The largest opposition party in Kosovo, Self Determination, has been going through internal problems for a while now. A number of senior officials such as former chairman Visar Ymeri, vice chairman Dardan Sejdiu and other members of this political party have resigned and they have not participated in the voting for the new chairman.
IBNA learns that the people who have resigned are expected to set up a new political party. The new party will be called “Social Democrat Alternative” and its leader will be Visar Ymeri.
Meanwhile, the election of Albin Kurti has sealed the division of this political party.
On Sunday, Self Determination held elections and it elected Albin Kurti as chairman of the party with 98.82% of the votes, but, Kurti was the only candidate in this election. /balkaneu.com/
