Dimitrov: What we achieved with Kotzias was considered to be impossible

FYROM’s Foreign minister, Nikola Dimitrov has commented the resignation of his Greek counterpart, Nikos Kotzias.

“During the process of negotiations, we managed to achieve something that was considered to be impossible in the past 27 years. We managed to bring our countries closer and we managed to sign the Prespa agreement. We built a bridge of friendship and we showed that our region is able to solve disagreements and build a future. All my best wishes for Nikos”, Dimitrov said.

FYROM’s Foreign minister also stressed that they will continue to be engaged in order to reach a historic solution along with other progressive and democratic forces in Skopje and Athens. Dimitrov and Kotzias were signatories to the historic agreement reached between Skopje and Athens in Prespa which was designed to put an end to a long dispute that the two countries had regarding the issue of the name. /ibna/
