Kosovo’s Foreign Minister, Enver Hoxhaj has started a two day visit in Brussels and Strasbourg, where he has held meeting with the heads of the highest institutions of the EU and the Council of Europe.

Minister Hoxhaj held the first meeting with the EU head of diplomacy, Federica Mogherini, to discuss the latest political developments in Kosovo, the regional challenges, liberalization of visas and the relations between Kosovo and the European Union.

After this meeting, the diplomat from Kosovo said that he has received strong political support by the EU and its institutions for the holding of dialogue with Serbia.

But, according to him, the EU must put more pressure on Serbia in order for this country to implement the agreements that have been reached and condition its EU integration path with the recognition of Kosovo.

“I had a very good meeting with the EU head of diplomacy, Federica Mogherini. I stressed the need for more pressure toward Serbia in the implementation of the agreements that have been reached and in conditioning its EU integration path if it continues to block Kosovo”, he said.

Hoxhaj also met with the EU Enlargement Commissioner, Johannes Hahn, to discuss on the relations between Kosovo and the EU and the implementation of SAA. /balkaneu.com/
